Getting the old contacts from your old mobile phone to new one

So, you have bought a new mobile phone but the problem is that all the contacts are in your old mobile phone and worst the old mobile phone was not one of the smart phone but just a basic phone. What will you do?
  • The first option is very easy but it will take a little longer time. Here you have to copy the contacts from your old mobile to the Sim card of your mobile. The problem is that in this way you will get the minimum supported number of contacts by the Sim, near about 200 contacts. But what if you are a popular person and there are thousands of contacts. Then what?
  • Then you have to do part wise, say first copy the 200 contacts, bring it to new mobile and copy it to phone memory and then again delete the Sim contact to make it free. That way you can bring all the numbers from your old basic mobile phone to new one.
  • There is a facility called sync in smart mobile such as HTC and others. This way you sync your old contact to your computer and then back again to your new mobile.
  • The use of Gmail as contact keeper is the greatest idea. As you can store all the mobile numbers to corresponding friends. You logged in with your mobile phone in your gmail account and after synchronization you can see all the contacts.
  • ALways keep a copy of mobile contacts in .csv format, how to build a .csv file. here is the tutorial for it -http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001356.htm
Hope this techniques are helpful.
